Speedy Exhaust & Performance - Mufflers

The muffler is part of the exhaust system and is responsible for absorbing engine noise and releasing vehicle emissions into the air. All mufflers are designed to revert the pressure and emissions produced in the combustion process and keep them from entering the cabin of the vehicle. Maintaining optimal muffler performance is necessary if you want to protect your passengers from harmful emissions and keep a quiet exhaust system.

Warning Signs of a Bad Muffler:

  • Loud Noises – The muffler should be relatively quiet, but loud roaring noises indicate you should get your exhaust system checked

  • Lower Fuel Efficiency – More trips than usual to the gas station could be a sign of an exhaust system problem

  • Bad Smells – Mufflers should funnel exhaust fumes away from the vehicle. If there is a muffler problem, those fumes could be stuck in your car, which is fatal to you over time.

Since your exhaust system is mounted to the bottom of your vehicle, it can take abuse from the road. When your vehicle needs exhaust system repairs, including muffler replacements and catalytic converter replacements, come to an exhaust shop you can trust!
